A Japanese freighter of about 4500 tons blows up during attacks by USS LEXINGTON (CV-16) planes on a convoy south of Camranh Bay, French Indochina, 12 January 1945. The ship was apparently carrying a cargo of gasoline or other highly flammable material. Position: 11-10' N, 108-50' E
